Kathy Trigger

4th Degree International Taekwon-Do Instructor
Ms
Trigger has been training in ITF style Taekwon-Do since 1987. As a
fourth degree Instructor. She has represented Canada in the World competitions in
both Malaysia and in Russia. The former in women’s power
breaking (boards) and the later in women’s sparring (combat).
Well known in the martial arts circles as
a dedicated and patient instructor, her goals and actions clearly
show that she is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence. Ms
Trigger's school is located in Barrhaven.

Dr. Claude Laferriere
Rank 4th Degree
Dr. Laferriere has been training at Trigger's
Taekwon-Do for the past 12 years. He received his 1st Degree
Black Belt in January 1998, his 2nd Degree Black Belt in April
2001, his 3rd Degree Black Belt in May 2004, his 4th Degree Black
Belt in May 2007 and is an Assistant Instructor at Trigger's Taekwon-Do.
Dr. Laferriere is a member of the ITF Scientific
Research Committee. He has participated in numerous seminars
and at Master Choi's International Instructor's Course in Ottawa in
2001. .
Dr. Laferriere is certified in CPR and First
Aid.

Ms.
Anik Laferriere
Rank 3rd Degree
Ms. Laferriere
has been training in Taekwon-Do for ten years under Ms. Trigger. She
began in 1994 at age 5, receiving her 1st Degree Black
Belt in January 1998. Although the age requirement for a 2nd Degree
Black Belt is 14 years of age, she continued her training and received her
2nd Degree Black Belt when she met the age requirement. In
November 2005, Ms Laferriere received her 3rd Degree Black
Belt. Ms. Laferriere is an
Assistant Instructor for Trigger’s Taekwon-Do, and continues her
training under Ms. Trigger.
Ms. Laferriere
has competed in several competitions, a list of which includes Pan
American’s, Master Choi’s Cup, National Capital Cup, and
the Canadian Nationals.

Mr. John Ross
Rank 2nd Degree
Rank
6th Degree Combat Martial Arts Instructor
Mr.
Ross has been practicing Taekwon-Do under Ms Trigger since 1994,
and has been participating in other Martial Arts forms since 1976.
Mr.
Ross has been an Assistant Instructor under Ms Trigger
since 1996, and has been teaching Taekwon-do for 7 years, and
Combat Martial Arts since 1980.
He teaches special compliance techniques to law
enforcement, military, and civilians, as well as specialized
training to those who are looking for a one on one.

Ms. Lynda Chen
Rank 2nd Degree
Ms. Chen has been training for six years. Among those six years, she has
competed in many competitions such as the Pam Americans, Master Choi's
Cup, and the National Capital Cup.
Ms. Chen received her 2nd Degree
Black Belt in December 2004, is
an Assistant Instructor at Trigger's Taekwon-Do and enjoys instructing
the children's Taekwon-Do Red Dragon's program.
She is a University student, maintaining a high grade average with
scholarships.

Mr.
Tim Osborne
Rank 1st Degree
Mr.
Osborne has been involved in Martial Arts for a total of 8
years. He received his 1st Degree on August 30th,
2003 and has been training in Taekwon-Do for 4 years. Before
starting Taekwon-Do, Mr. Osborne achieved the rank of Black Belt
in Karate at the age of 9. His favourite discipline in Martial
Arts is sparring.
Mr.
Osborne has competed in close to 30 Martial Arts tournaments,
earning medal/trophy results. He actively participates in
demonstrations and fundraisers and is an Assistant Instructor for
Trigger's Taekwon-Do.
